Base Layer, Mid Layer or Outer Layer?
Yes. It is all a matter of preference on how you want to wear them and/or the outside weather. The soft liner allows you to wear it next to your skin if you so desire even though most riders use it as a mid/lightweight insulation layer. In order to take the chill out of a spring or fall day, many sledders throw on an Inferno/Sundance Shirt and use it as a light jacket.
